Wynand and Cheree were married in their hometown, Langebaan, at the popular beach venue Boesmanland Plaaskombuis.

Truly a day to be celebrated!

Cheree sing al vandat sy 9 jaar oud is en hier is haar eerste koerant artikel waarin sy verskyn het!

At the beginning of 2011, South Africa's beloved Country Girl gave birth to her first baby girl,  Taylor-Hope Strydom. She is the inspiration for Cheree's latest album release, Lesse & Lullabies!

"This is album means a lot to me as I produced, arranged and absolutely put my heart into every note on this album! Motherhood has changed me forever. Taylor-Hope has changed me forever. Being a mother is by far the most amazing thing that has happened to me! Even Wynand and I seem to be closer these days!," says this 32 year old country singer who currently lives in Langebaan on the West Coast.

Lesse & Lullabies is set to be released online before the end of 2011, and will be in trade for Valentine's Day 2012! This album is a must for all! If you're a mother, this is the perfect album to listen to on the way back from dropping the kids off at school or at home while cleaning! If you're a grandmother you will be taken on an emotional journey through songs and lyrics that touch your heart! If you're a teenager this album might just give you more perspective on how your parents really feel about you! This album caters for everyone!

Tony Ridgway is once again collaborating with this country songstress and is also responsible for the arranging and producing of some of the tracks off the album. Cheree has written her own songs and brags with the heart-wrenching opening track off the album "Growing inside of me". Tony once again has written the most beautiful songs and Cheree's voice show-cases this songwriters best on this moving album. art of pop studios in Melkbos is currently mixing and mastering the album that is set to be released before the new year.

Over the last few years this 30 year old songstress from the West Coast has earned her place in the South African Music Market.
 
 Chereé had the honour of performing at this years SAMA 16 awards live at the Sun City Superbowl. She paid tribute to life-time achievement award recipient Carike Keuzenkamp, and together they entertained the audience with Carike's smash hit "Byeboerwa". 
 
Not only was Chereé a performer and presenter at this years biggest music event of the year, she was also nominated for her latest album "In My Drome" in the Best Country Album category. This is her second consecutive nomination and without doubt it won't be her last nomination.  
 
Chereé appeared on the MTN yellow carpet  in a one-of-a-kind Kobus Dippenaar designed evening gown and was featured in this weeks Huisgenoot as well as the People magazine.
 
The future looks bright for this starry-eyed artist and if her recent success and the amount of exposure she's been receiving over the last couple of months is anything to go by, then it's imminent that CHEREÉ IS HERE TO STAY!!!

Met die vrystelling van Chereé se splinernuwe album, In My Drome, is SA se Country Girl besig om baie aandag te trek!
 
Chereé, verskyn saam met Lianie May en Ray Dylan,  op die voorblad van die nuwe Tempo Tydskrif met die onderskrif - Country Rock! Country legendes soos Lance James, Bobby Angel en Clive Bruce vertel van die dae toe Country musiek in al wat 'n mens se huis weerklink het  en hoe nuwe kunstenaars soos Chereé, Ray, en Die Campbells nuwe lewe  blaas in Country musiek vandag. Chereé was ook weer onlangs te siene op Huisgenoot se local is lekker bladsy, waar sy agter-die-skerms fotos gewys het van die opname van haar nuwe musiekvideo wat tans op verskeie tv kanale te sien is.

CHEREÉ IS BACK WITH NEW COUNTRY HITS

After three years, a SAMA nomination and awards won for her last release, Country Girl, is this 30 year old Capetonian Country singer back with a vengeance!  

Chereé along with her label, Leo Musiek, blends Modern- and Old-Country with Pop/Rock on her latest offering. In My Drome can well be described as her best to date, boasting with 10 brand new Afrikaans and English country hits.

Two producers are responsible for the fresh production of this album: Two-time Grammy Award winning engineering of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, John Lindemann, along with Country Veterans, Billy Forrest & Bobby Angel, produced half of the album, bringing out the best qualities in Chereé’s voice with classics such as “You Needed me” and “Peace Train”. Murray Lubbe is responsible for the other half of the songs on the album, and with his love for Modern Country, he manages to bring out the Carrie Underwood in Chereé.  

Chereé showcases songs from top songwriters as well as newcomers in the South African music market: Tony Ridgway, well known for writing songs for many of the top artists in SA and member of the well known Cape Town based Country band Rocking Horse, comes up with yet another smash hit, “Tiek Tok”; Pierre Rossouw, some what of a unknown songwriter in the market, wrote 4 songs for Chereé, including the hit single, “In My Drome”; Lize Beekman, well known SA artist / songwriter, provided an English song that is sure to be play listed on national SA radio; finalist in the 2009 Huisgenoot Tempo Liejieskryf Kompetisie, Semandie Gerber’s “Hier Is My Hart “ is simply music for the soul; and William Blackrose is responsible for writing the smash hit duet “DroomVrou”, sung with Wynand Strydom. 

Chereé boasts with three duets on this album: “Droomvrou”, recorded with her fiancé, Wynand Strydom – this song is set to be a huge hit as it encompasses their genuine love for each other in it’s honest approach to the song; the popular alternative artist, Snotkop, teams up with Chereé to bring a fresh approach to the Dolly Parton classic “9 to 5”; and Chereé and Sarah Theron’s version of the Anne Murray classic “You Needed me” is simply breath taking! 

Chereé is a well loved performing artist travelling across South Africa to share her talent as singer with the people of South Africa. The music video of her single, In Mr Drome, can be seen on national television in SA.
